The 3D-Print Seller Survey, 2026
Ten anonymous questions about how you really run your shop. The results, split by shop size, go up here in January 2027.

Nobody publishes how 3D-print sellers actually work: how many printers it takes to fill a hundred orders a month, how many prints fail, what processing times people quote, or what holds a shop back. So we are asking. Ten questions, every one a tap, about two minutes, and completely anonymous. The results go up on this page in January 2027 for anyone to use.
Question 1 of 10 · pick all that apply
Where do you sell 3D prints?
Anonymous: we store your ten answers and the date, nothing else. No name, no email, no free text. A hashed form of your IP address is used only to stop repeat submissions, and is never stored with your answers.
Why answer
A benchmark for your shop, built from shops like yours.
What you get backEvery chart in the results, split by shop size, so you can see where your own numbers sit.
What we will publish
- Printers per order
- How many printers shops run at each order volume, and where people start sending work out.
- Failure rates
- The share of prints that fail, by shop size and by the material people print most.
- Processing times
- What shops quote on their listings, and how that moves with the hours they put in.
- What holds shops back
- Printer time, time, buyers, fees or materials, and how the answer changes as shops grow.
- Where people sell
- The mix of channels, and which ones busy shops use together.
We publish counts and percentages only, never a single response. If a group is too small to report without identifying anyone, it is folded into the next group. The survey is open until 31 December 2026.
Who is asking
PrintPort3D prints, finishes and ships 3D-printed products for online sellers, and takes orders from eleven storefronts. We want these numbers for the same reason you do: to understand the shops we work for. The questions are ones we would want answered about our own work, and the results are free to quote with a link back.
