Fulfillment & ScalingPrintPort3D

Printie and PrintPort3D do the same job: your customer orders, the product is printed, packed and shipped under your name. Where they part ways is everything around the print — how fast you get a price, how many storefronts feed the floor, and whether a product that comes off the printer in five pieces leaves as one.

Your margin · same maths as checkout

Your listing sells. Here is what is left after we are paid.

Your listing price, and the weight and print time from your own slicer. We charge the make cost when the order is placed; the rest of what your customer paid is yours.

Price your real file

Six reasons sellers pick PrintPort3D

01

A price in seconds, before an account

Drop in an STL, OBJ, 3MF or STEP file. We slice the real geometry and the per-part price comes back in seconds — or work it out from your slicer’s grams and hours with the panel above.

PrintieQuotes from an uploaded file through its calculator; per-plate and per-colour rates are not published.

02

Assembly at a flat $1 a part

Tick it on a product and every unit that prints as several pieces is assembled before it is boxed, with magnets, threaded inserts and screws fitted, following your own steps and photos. The price is on the receipt before you list.

PrintieAssembly is an optional upgrade, billed per request.

03

Eleven storefronts, one floor

Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, TikTok Shop, eBay, Walmart, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Magento 2 and BigCommerce. Orders arrive, print and ship without you touching them.

04

No design? Studio makes one

Describe the product and Studio returns a printable, dimensioned design you can order the same day. Everyone else in this category starts at “upload your file”.

05

Any CAD file you have

STEP and OBJ as well as STL and 3MF, up to 500 MB — converted and sliced by us, so nobody asks you to re-export.

06

Move some listings, keep the rest

Orders are matched by SKU, so only the listings you build with us come to us — the rest keep printing on your own machines.

Two ways of charging for the same work

Both services are paid for the same two things — plastic and machine time — and divide them differently, which is what decides who is cheaper on a given product.

PrintPort3D
Material by the gram, plus $3.00 per print-hour (pro-rated for shorter prints). A $2.00 floor per order. Quantity pricing takes up to 30% off labour on repeat copies. Nothing monthly; assembly a flat $1 a part when you want it.
Printie
Material by the gram, a setup charge per plate, a colour charge for every colour on every plate, and a flat fee per order. Its published examples: a flexi fish at $0.30 a unit in bulk, a multicolour wall piece at $12.70, a PETG caddy at $11.20.

Printie’s per-plate setup makes a tray of tiny parts very cheap, and its per-colour charge makes multicolour parts dear. For a mid-size, single-colour product — the bulk of what sells — the panel at the top gives you our exact number from your own slicer; upload the same file to both to get theirs.

Where Printie fits

Printie prints multicolour parts — up to eight colours on one part — and sells finishing: sanding, painting, smoothing and dyeing, plus custom packaging. If a product needs one of those, that product belongs there.

Read the shelf like for like, though. Printie’s “250+ materials and colors” counts colour variants. We hold 65 colours across ten materials on the rack today, and buy any other FDM filament in against your first order at no surcharge.
