TikTok Shop’s Shipping Rules for 3D-Printed Products

Two business days to a carrier scan, a USPS rule that changed in January, and the packing TikTok bans: the whole clock, on a real week.

TikTok Shop is the strictest of the big marketplaces about time. A regular order has to be scanned by a carrier within two business days of being paid, TikTok cancels it on its own if there is no tracking after five, and it has to arrive within six. Since January, a USPS label bought anywhere except TikTok’s own shipping tool is rejected outright. None of that is a problem for a made-to-order 3D print, as long as you know the clock before the first video takes off.

The number that matters

Two business days from payment to a carrier scan. Not to a label printed, to a parcel scanned.

What happens past itAbove a 10% Late Dispatch Rate, TikTok can deduct Account Health points, cap your order volume and hold your settlements longer.

The rules, in the order an order meets them

Awaiting Shipment
The clock starts the moment payment confirms. Business days skip weekends and US federal holidays, so an order paid on Friday night must be scanned by Tuesday.
Tracking
Add a valid tracking number before the parcel moves. If none exists five business days after payment, TikTok cancels the order itself.
Carrier scan
Dispatch counts when the carrier scans the parcel, not when the label prints. TikTok also watches for labels that sit unused for days.
Delivery
Delivered within six business days of payment. Late deliveries count against your On-Time Delivery Rate, which feeds your shop score.
Late Dispatch Rate
The share of orders not scanned in time. Above 10%, TikTok enforces: Account Health deductions, order volume limits, longer settlement periods.

The USPS rule that changed in January

Since January 2026, TikTok Shop only accepts USPS labels bought through TikTok Shipping, its own tool. A USPS label bought in Shippo, ShipStation or anywhere else is refused when the tracking syncs, and Shippo has stopped showing USPS rates for TikTok orders altogether. UPS, FedEx and other carriers bought outside TikTok still sync normally.

That is why every TikTok order we ship goes out on a UPS label, bought on the Shippo account you connect, with the tracking sent back to TikTok automatically. Your other channels keep the cheapest USPS service.

When Made-to-Order is worth turning on

TikTok has a Made-to-Order setting for products manufactured after the order comes in. It lets you set a handling time of 3 to 14 business days, and the carrier scan is then due one business day after it. You do not need it for anything we print, because we ship TikTok orders within 48 hours, inside the regular two business days. It earns its place if you also sell something slower, such as a large, hand-finished piece.

Who can turn it on
Shops with a Shop Performance Score of 3.5 or more, an Account Health Rating above 150, no intellectual-property violations and no account restriction.
How the listing must look
A new listing, with “[Made-to-Order]” in the title and the description, and a standard product with limited variations such as size and colour.
What it is not for
Personalised items made to one buyer’s spec, or stock that has simply run out. TikTok can switch the feature off if it is misused.

Packing it the way TikTok wants

No loose fill
TikTok bans packing peanuts and shredded paper as void fill. A padded envelope that fits the part needs neither.
Nothing extra in the box
No inserts asking for reviews, no unrelated flyers, price tags or stickers. A packing slip for the order is paperwork, not a promotion.
The label
It must show the buyer’s name and full address, the order number and your returns address, and nothing unrelated to the order: no links, no QR codes, no contact details from other platforms.
Third-party fulfilment
Allowed, and you stay responsible for the partner packing to TikTok’s rules. What it forbids is buying from another online retailer and having that retailer ship to your buyer.

Our labels carry our Orange, California return address. TikTok wants the label’s returns address to match the Return Warehouse in Seller Center, so set that before your first sale. Support will tell you exactly what to enter. The fees and the selling side are in how to sell 3D prints on TikTok Shop, and the other half of the job, what it costs to post a print, is in how to ship 3D prints.
