PrintPort credit
How account credit is granted, where to find your balance, and how to spend it.
4 min read
PrintPort credit is a balance of real money held on your account. Our team grants it, and the Studio welcome gift adds to it. Credit funds your Studio work automatically, and support can apply it to an order on your behalf.
Overview
Credit is a single balance attached to your account, held in real US dollars. A new account starts at $0. Credit appears only after PrintPort adds it. You can view the balance and its full history on the Finance page, in the PrintPort credit panel.
Credit is not a payout. PrintPort does not pay you for your sales. Your customer pays you through your own store, and PrintPort charges your card the make cost to produce each order. Credit is separate money: a balance the team grants that you spend inside Studio, or that support can apply to an order. For the full picture of who pays whom, see How you get paid.
You cannot buy or top up credit yourself
Where credit comes from
Every source below adds to the same balance.
- Reprintsgoodwill
- When PrintPort remakes something for you, the team may add credit to cover the cost.
- Goodwillsupport
- When something did not go as it should have, support can grant credit to make it right.
- Studio welcome gift$10 · one-time
- If your account was created on or after July 7, 2026, a one-time $10 credit is added to your balance the first time you open Studio. It spends like any other credit. See Studio credits for details.
Where to find your balance
On the Finance page, the PrintPort credit panel shows your current balance and a running history of every change to it. Each entry records the reason the credit was added. The panel sits in the sidebar alongside your card health, so your credit and your charges appear on one screen.
If you have Studio access, your balance also appears in the Studio header, next to the design counts, with a link back to the Finance page.
Applying credit to an order
Credit is not applied to your card charge automatically
- 1
Open the credit panel
Go to the Finance page and find the PrintPort credit panel. It includes a support link for this purpose. - 2
Email support
Email support@printport3d.com and specify which order you want your credit applied to. Include the order number so the team can locate it. - 3
Support applies it
A team member applies your credit to that order. The process is handled manually rather than instantly, but the balance is real and waiting to be used.
Your card charge — material plus labor, billed when the shipping label is purchased — is unaffected by this. For how that charge works, see How billing works.
Using credit in Studio
Studio runs on this same balance. Every paid Studio action debits your PrintPort credit before it runs. No email is required. This is why the Studio credits page and this page describe the same balance.
If a Studio action fails, its credit is refunded to your balance automatically.
