Renders & product photos
Produce listing-ready imagery from a finished design: free multi-angle renders, then AI-staged product photos.
6 min read
Once a design looks correct in the Workbench, Studio can generate its imagery. Multi-angle renders show the real part in its true filament and are free. AI product photos stage that same part into marketplace-ready images. Neither requires a camera or a lightbox.
Overview
Both tools live at the bottom of the Studio page in the Make it sellable panel. Select a design or a product from the list on the left, which has Designs and Products tabs with a search box, then choose Render all angles or Make AI photos on the right.
Render before you photograph. AI photos are staged around your real, rendered geometry rather than invented from a text description, so a design must be rendered before it can be photographed. If you start a photo without a render, Studio stops you with “Render shots of this design first — photos are staged around your real product.” The one-click photo pack handles this automatically: it renders any missing angles first, then shoots.
Why photos stay accurate
Multi-angle renders
A render set is a batch of clean, photoreal images of your design in the exact material and color you would print it in. Studio produces six framed angles — hero, front, side, top, detail, and a three-quarter view — laid out as a tile grid you can download as a zip.
Renders are free
- 1
Select the item
In Make it sellable, select a design or product. For a design, you can also choose the material and color the render should use. - 2
Open Custom options (optional)
Set the background, resolution, and turntable before you shoot, or use the defaults: pure white, 2K, and no turntable. - 3
Render the shots
Click Render shots. A progress bar shows the percentage complete and the angle currently in progress, for example “Rendering side view.” - 4
Download the set
When the grid fills in, click Download set for a zip of every angle. Click any tile to open it full-size in the lightbox and step through with the arrow keys.
Render Custom options. Defaults are noted above.
| Option | Choices | Notes |

The one-click marketplace pack
Make AI photos · $1.50 generates a five-shot pack sized for online listings in a single click: a pure-white main image, two lifestyle shots, one detail shot, and one scale shot. Studio renders any angles it still needs, shoots each photo, and checks every one against marketplace rules as it lands.
The pack is priced as one high-quality main shot plus four standard shots, which totals the flat $1.50. Each photo is a separate credit debit, and any photo that fails to generate is refunded automatically. You are never charged for an image you did not receive.
Running low mid-pack
While the pack runs, a checklist card shows Preparing renders, then Shooting, with a tick, a spinner, or an X next to each shot and an N-of-5 counter. When it finishes, the photos appear below the button.
Custom shots
Use Custom shot to generate one photo at a time with full control. Select a shot type from the chips — main, lifestyle, detail, scale, or angle — describe the setting or look you want in the text box, choose a marketplace preset and a quality level, then click Generate photo.
You can upload up to three style-reference images to steer the mood, and for a product you can add an assembly hint so the shot shows it assembled. As with the pack, a photo that fails shows failed · refunded with a Retry button, and the credits are returned automatically.
AI photo pricing. Standard is the default quality; the pack's main image is shot at high.

Marketplace compliance
Every AI photo is scored against a marketplace's image rules and receives a badge: pass warn fail. A pass means the image meets that platform's requirements. A warn or fail identifies what to fix, usually the background or the resolution, before you use it. The main shot is checked against Amazon's strict main-image rules by default; other shots use the General preset unless you select one.
Compliance presets. Choose one per shot; the pack's main image defaults to Amazon.
| Preset | Key rule | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon main image | Pure white background, ≥1600px, subject fills 30–98% of the frame | The primary image on an Amazon listing. |
| Etsy | At least 2000px | Etsy listing photos. |
| Shopify | At least 1024px | Shopify product images. |
| General | Basic quality checks | Any other storefront. |

Saving and attaching photos
Each finished photo has its own actions.
- Saveall items
- Downloads the image file to your computer, ready to upload to your own store listing.
- Attach / Detachproducts only
- Keeps the photo on that product inside your Catalog. Attach is available only for a product. If you shot a bare design, save the design to your library and turn it into a product first.
- Download all
- Downloads every photo in the batch as one zip.
- Retry
- Re-runs a photo that failed. Its credits were already refunded.
